Two strangers travel the paths of deception in this road movie from first-time director Ryan Harper. Anthony (WELCOME BACK, KOTTER; COOLEY HIGH) is a successful black movie agent on his way to a wedding in Las Vegas. Speeding down the highway through the Nevada desert, he encounters a stranded white drifter, Ernie (Rusty Gray), and stops to give him a lift. The two men hit it off easily and soon let their guards down, but as each begins revealing the details of his past, the other recognizes the secrets his companion hides. As the pair hurtle through the night, their amiability turns into enmity, and ultimately they realize how much can change in just 30 miles. Harper`s dark journey uses the latest technology to achieve the look of film using HD video, making use of revolutionary techniques to create a tense, raw look at two men`s descent into a nightmare of murder and betrayal.

Director Bruce Beresford's adaptation of Beth Henley's Pulitzer Prize-winning play about three eccentric southern sisters stars Diane Keaton as Lenny Magrath, Jessica Lange as Meg, and Sissy Spacek as Babe. Long separated, they convene for Lenny's birthday at the family mansion in the Deep South, where Lenny cares for her ailing grandfather. Lenny, the oldest sister, anxious about her shrunken ovary, has never married, nor has Meg, with her underwhelming singing career and her long string of boyfriends. As for Babe, she's fresh out of jail, having shot her husband, a senator, for objecting to her affair with a teenage boy. Director Werner Herzog returns to the exotic locales and obsessive themes of previous works in his Amazon masterpiece, FITZCARRALDO. Klaus Kinski gives a terrifying and determined portrayal of mad genius Fitzcarraldo, whose twin goals of making a fortune off the Amazon rubber trade and bringing an opera house to the jungle give the film its crushing centerpiece--the maniacal leader's Sisyphean efforts at hauling a gigantic steamship over a mountain bank.
