G: Although it might sound unlikely, G brings F.Scott Fitzgerald`s THE GREAT GATSBY to the hip-hop generation, with a thoroughly modern adaptation of the literary classic. Summer G (Richard T. Jones) seems to have everything a hip-hop mogul could possibly want after building a career for himself as a rap producer. But he still pines for Sky (Chenoa Maxwell), his former lover, whom he let slip through his fingers. Cleverly locating the film in the Hamptons, where many hip-hop millionaires have taken up residence, Christopher Scott Cherot`s film has a glossy MTV sheen to it, but still manages to stir the emotions that lie at the core of Fitzgerald`s novel.YOU GOT SERVED: Dedicated to the art of street dancing, YOU GOT SERVED features some of the most talented and prominent kids on the scene in a drama filmed on the streets of Los Angeles. The picture opens at the warehouse of Mr. Rad (Steve Harvey), where dance battles take the place of actual fighting. Elgin (Marques Houston) and David (Omarion) are childhood friends who are determined to make a splash in the world as street dancers. But when they lose a battle to a rival crew from Orange County, and when David finds himself falling in love with Elgin`s pretty sister, Liyah (Jennifer Freeman), a heavy strain is put on their relationship. This is compounded when Elgin gets jacked selling drugs for a dangerous crime lord, while David was busy sipping milk shakes with Liyah. Eventually, another tragedy forces David and Elgin to put aside their differences and come together to win a contest that will make them $50,000 richer and land them in a video for hip-hop superstar Lil` Kim. Written and directed by Christopher B. Stokes, YOU GOT SERVED is a perfect venue to showcase the superb dancing talents of the now-defunct group B2K.

The first narrative feature by Italian avant-garde director Michelangelo Antonioni (L'AVENTURA, L'ECLISSE, BLOW-UP), released in 1950 with modest success, exhibits the interest in themes of infidelity and the shifting tides of relationships that would haunt all of his films that followed. The director's cool, reserved touch that maintains an austere beauty is already in evidence, as he weaves the tale of an illicit love. Paola (Lucia Bose) is the beautiful and jealously-guarded younger wife of a shady factory owner, Enrico Fontana (Massimo Girotti). In order to investigate her romantic history he hires a private detective, which ironically brings Paola back into contact with former lover Guido (Massimo Girotti), with whom she resurrects a lost passion. Dogged by the suspicions of their respective mates, they are drawn closer to each other in the face of adversity, and begin to plot Enrico's demise. But when the challenge of being together falls away, will the passion start to wane? A masterpiece of intensity and finely-wrought emotion, Antonioni's noir gem won the 1951 Silver Ribbon at the Italian Journalists Awards.

George Stevens' life-altering experience of witnessing the death camps after WWII was doubtless responsible for his desire to adapt the famed diary of the teenaged Jewish girl, played by Millie Perkins. With the feared'Green Police' or Dutch Gestapo combing Amsterdam in search of Jews, Anne, her parents, Otto (Joseph Schildkraut) and Edith (Anna Huber) another Jewish family, the Van Daans, and a dentist Albert Dussell (Ed Wynn) take refuge for two years in a small attic provided by Gentile shop owners Kraler (Douglas Spencer) and Miep (Dody Heath). Despite their precarious situation, and the sense of claustrophobia created by having to live together in such crowded conditions, covering the windows during the day, and keeping as quiet as possible at all times, the families carry on as best they can. For Anne, her platonic romance with Peter Van Daan (Richard Beymer), the attractive son of often voluble parents, makes the experience more bearable than it is for the adults, whose sense of foreboding is palpable. After 12 years of marriage, British couple Audrey Hepburn and Albert Finney find themselves wondering whether they should continue forward through life together or go their separate ways. Bickering and bliss get equal time as husband and wife remember the past in its sunny and stormy times, and this perceptive tale of the struggle to create and maintain a fulfilling marriage rings true in nearly every scene.Seven years earlier, director Stanley Donen explored the stress fractures in marriage with Cary Grant, Deborah Kerr, and Robert Mitchum in the marvelously keen dramatic comedy THE GRASS IS GREENER, and Donen returned to the subject again in the early 1980s in BLAME IT ON RIO with less empathy and more nudity. TWO FOR THE ROAD, however, has always been the most popular of this trio of films about marriage on the rocks, as Hepburn and Finney give winning performances of partners who love each other but aren t sure they re in love anymore. Screenwriter and novelist Frederic Raphael`s sparkling screenplay gives the movie zest and poignancy.

An escaped convict accidentally destroys a stunt shot while a movie is being filmed.
When the driver dies in the subsequent car crash, the director of the film decides to quickly replace the driver with the convict, thus saving them both from the police and setting up explosive dramatic ironies between the real world and the illusory world of film-making.
