A triptych of loosely interwoven love stories, LOVE SONGS's theme is the resuscitation of faded love. Braugher's piece of the trilogy, A Love Song for Dad, stars Gossett as a frustrated father whose son has bought in to the violence of the street, and who attempts to teach him that violence is not the answer. Gossett's segment, A Love Song for Champ, stars Townsend as a boxer trying to make some fast cash to alleviate his money troubles.
