This collection of shorts from some prolific Czech directors is a great way to discover the dearth of filmmaking talent the country has produced. The common threads that bind each film is that they are all based on different tales by writer Bohumil Hrabal, and all the filmmakers emerged from the fertile 1960s Czech New Wave.
