An attractive, but spoiled young woman (Agnes Laurent) attempts to convince her rich parents to send her from her country home to the thrilling city of Paris. Using the old excuse of furthering her education, her persuasive powers prove worthy. The onlyeducation she is interested in, however, is that of the adult variety since her purpose for traveling is to continue her relationship with a Parisian student. Her education and confidence in these matters only intensifies as she soon discovers the seductive world of cabaret and striptease.
It is not long before the spoiled heroine sees her calling and begins to become more proactive in this strip club culture. The Israeli drama A PLACE BY THE SEA (MAKOM L'YAD HAYAM) reflects on the changes in individual relationships that time and separation can bring. After serving a three year sentence in prison, a convict returns to his former life and discovers his girlfriend has been forced into prostitution to survive. The pair seek to rekindle their old relationship by moving to a seaside house on the Mediterranean, but obstacles still stand in their way. Traumatized by her experiences, the girlfriend can no longer commit to her lover physically; meanwhile, figures from his past seek him out to settle old scores.

This brutally precise drama is director Enzo Montleone`s take on the Italian army`s efforts during the Second World War. Although the history books make little mention of them, EL ALAMEIN sets out to put the record straight, by showing how the Italians led one of the first, and most important, battles in the war. For added realism, Montleone drew on soldier`s diaries and other important information from those who actually fought in the war, making this a particularly accurate depiction of the bloody battle as it played out.
