Starring Fernando Ramallo in his first role, LA BUENA VIDA is a coming-of-age story set on the outskirts of Madrid. Tristan, a young teenager, is the only son of wealthy parents who plans on spending his summer vacation living the good life. But things take a tragic turn when he learns that his vacationing parents have died in a car accident. Now alone, Tristan envisions himself as master of his own destiny, but finds that he has a great deal of maturing to do before he can possibly live for and by himself. After husband and wife Jorge and Isabel get into a major fight, Isabel seeks solace by driving off alone, only to get into a terrible accident that ends her life. Following Isabel`s death, her sister Magdalena moves into Jorge`s home with the intention of caring for Isabel`s daughter Rosita. Things are complicated when Monica, a caregiver previously hired by Isabel, shows up at the house as well. Torn apart with grief and confusion, Jorge at first treats Monica poorly, only to later realize he may be capable of loving her. Things would go smoothly for all involved if only Magdalena weren`t secretly harboring feelings for her dead sister`s husband.
