Jeanette`s lunchbreaks at her latest temp position see her dashing out of the office to attend auditions, then returning to work where she fends off co-workers and a boss who wants her to take a permanent secretarial position at the company. But if ever proof were needed that you should never give up on your dreams, it arrives one day for Jeanette, when she lands the role she`s always dreamed of, and looks set to leave the temp world behind her. A funny, moving drama, which was a labor of love for Lisa Kottin (who based the script on her own experiences, and also directs the movie), TEMPORARY GIRL touches on many issues, including abuse and sexism in the workplace. Kottin`s movie offers a salutary tale that manages to raise pertinent issues, while always keeping the balance between humour and seriousness exactly right.

Cray Fowler (James Spader), the scion of a powerful and wealthy political family from St. Alban's Parish, Louisiana, has his budding career put in jeopardy when he's videotaped in an erotic sexual situation with a Vietnamese martial arts instructor at the Happy Dragon Studio.
