Similar to Alejandro AmenBbar's THE OTHERS, this spooky Spanish thriller sees a detective uncovering some unnerving evidence that suggests a world populated with supernatural beings is thriving all around us. While investigating a mysterious case, the detective stumbles across a secret netherworld of ghostly figures, all of whom disappeared from the real world under strange circumstances. A little more investigating leads the detective to his immediate predecessor, who also made the same discovery, but now resides in a psychiatric unit. The title NOS MIRAN translates as they're watching, but as the detective frantically searches to find out who they really are, a few twists and turns in the plot leads to a surprising conclusion to the movie.
