Unlike many other television police shows, ADAM-12 concentrated on the experiences of the regular officers in the department rather than featuring detectives as the protagonists. Created by Jack Webb, the star and producer of the legendary DRAGNET, ADAM-12 was very similar: a police procedural that sought to maintain a high realism of setting, story, and character. ADAM-12 follows the experiences of Pete Malloy, a veteran of the force who is teamed with rookie Jim Reed following his first partner`s death. As the pair go on patrol and respond to calls, they become friends and discover their own strengths and weaknesses. SEASON ONE contains the first 26 episodes of the realistic and engaging cop drama.
