Farm boy Roy Hobbs (Robert Redford) is the best baseball player anyone has ever seen. Directed by special effects and make-up artist Robert Hall, LIGHTNING BUG is drawn from his personal experiences. Green Graves (Bret Harrison) loves horror films and has taught himself how to create lifelike gore effects with the hopes of moving to Hollywood when he comes of age. Until then, however, he is stuck living in the rural Southern town he grew up in, where many of the townsfolk label him a weirdo for his unusual hobby.
