Director Jerome Bonnell was only 23 at the time of shooting his debut feature, a lighthearted, winsome look at the love lives of a rural French family, the matriarch of which died a year ago. Teenaged Julien (Hubert Benhamdine) has lost his passion for the piano and yearns for beautiful bookstore worker Olga, while his sister Emma (Florence Loiret) explores lesbianism and their father Gilles (Serge Riaboukine), a children`s book author, struggles with his writing.
