A Day in Black& White (DVD)

Writer/director Desmond Hall's debut feature film is a thoughtful and witty meditation on race relations that also happens to be uproariously funny. Hall's film begins as a young black man (Perrineau, of HBO's OZ) sits down to try and write a speech about race. Unable to put anything down on paper, he calls one of his white friends (DeSando) and engages him in conversation that runs the gamut from interracial dating, barbie dolls, OJ, and affirmative action to pornography. Setting in motion a series of events that allows the film to observe more diverse characters, Hall's film approaches its subject with a freshness and playfulness that lends his film a sense of humor and authenticity.DVD Features:Region 1Keep Case
