Starring Richard Harris and Lukas Haas, THE PEARL is an adaptation of the classic novel by John Steinbeck. The story tells the tale of a poor Mexican pearl diver who finds a valuable pearl that promises to end all his family`s struggles. But when things do not turn out as simply as the pearl diver anticipates, the initially hopeful story takes on tragic undertones, and becomes a warning about the destructive forces of jealousy and greed that can often accompany wealth.
