Ronald Wilson (HOW GREEN WAS MY VALLEY) directs this TV adaptation of George Eliot`s classic. A mill passes between two families in a multi-generational tale, alternating between the wealthy Tulliver clan--headed by the bullying Tom (Christopher Blake)--and the poor but decent Philip Wakem. Maggie Tulliver (Pippa Guard), Tom`s sister and the protagonist, is the unfortunate though noble link between the two.
