When a teenage boy named Andris gets separated from his mother during the Spanish Civil War, he thinks he`s lost the only strong female figure in his life. But this all changes when he meets an older woman (played by Faye Dunaway) with a sexual energy and forwardness that tantalizes Andris and, finally, captures his heart. Even after their affair ends, the easily coerced youth finds himself drawn into the arms of older women for years afterwards. It will take a very special and convincing young woman to lure Andris back to lovers his own age.
